Our Next Rotary Speaker!
Barbara Ivey’s family quickly understood the sad truth of her mother’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis. What took time to discover was what it would mean for her primary caregiver, Barbara’s father. Barbara shares what she and her family learned during their 14 year journey with Alzheimer’s. Learn how to support even the most independent caregiver with techniques you can put to practice right away.
As part of her presentation, she will discuss the benefits of the Rotary Club C.A.R.T Fund (Coins for Alzheimer’s Research Trust). Each week, Rotarians empty their pockets and purses of change to collect and provide dollars for leading edge research for the cure/prevention of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). This practice dates back to 1996 with Rotarians voluntarily making the weekly donations.
“The CART Fund provides dollars for innovated research to fight Alzheimer’s disease.”
